Mission Statement for Southern Utah's Tea Party
For the better part of three months the Citizens of Southern Utah have been anxiously following our Government's response to the multitude of national and worldwide events that threaten our traditional life styles as well as those of our children and grandchildren. Our free enterprise economic system is rapidly moving towards socialism and a welfare state at the expense of middleclass citizens. The Republic form of our statehoods is being overshadowed by a move towards big government and federalization of state authorities. Many of those rights we have always considered protected by the Constitution are going to be eroded away by congressional or judicial authority. What we are going to get in return is higher taxes and long term national debt. It's time to let our government know...
We vigorously reject bigger government, higher taxes, and reckless spending.
We will revitalize grassroot politics by providing ways to make a difference and get citizens involved in the political process and to the polls.
We intend to join forces in a nonpartisan effort to get our message across.
We demand the theme "Americans for America" be given precedence.
